Frequently Asked Questions
There are various studios and voice actors on the Internet, including cheaper ones. Why should I use the services of RPM? In this day and age and with widespread access to the Internet, a studio, even a virtual one, can be created by pretty much anyone. However, an interesting voice is only the only factor that makes the end product stand out. Other key components include: experience, professional sound-engineers as well as creative copywriters, directors. It's hard for the customer to verify which offer is better, because most look similar at first glance.
What to consider when choosing a voiceover studio?
- How many years of experience does the studio have? In case of RPM its 27 years in the business
- What city is RPM from? (the most recognisable voices are from Warsaw, so if the studio is from outside the capital, it will probably rely on another studio for production)? RPM has it's offices in Warsaw and Tarnów
- How many sound engineers does the studio employ ? RPM Studio employs 6
- Whether the studio has experience in audio mastering? RPM Studio has been providing mastering for 24 years.
What affects the price of a sound production/telephone announcement?
- The selected voice talent
- Usage - that is, the place where the production will be broadcast (e.g. radio, television, internet, shopping malls, etc.)
- License – i.e. how long do we want to use the recording
- Type of production - whether we want a single voiceover track or a more complex production with music
Can I have a licence indefinitely and for all media types?
Yes, but it involves higher costs. Some voice talents in cases of such long and unlimited cooperation can be expensive. It is best to plan exactly where and how long we need the audio - then the production will be the cheapest. Even after the end of the license period, it is possible to renew it for 50% of the basic price. In the case of telephone announcements, the license is transferred without time limits. How can I get a quote for a voiceover production/telephone announcement?
Simply send us an an email. Specify the recordign type (e.g. commercial for radio, commercial for TV, internet), where it will be broadcast and for how long. Don't forget your company details - this way you can be sure to keep the price for 3 months after the quote. If you want an express quote, we encourage you to call us before sending an emailHow long will I have to wait for a quote?
The maximum waiting time for a quote on very complex projects is 48 hours, but 90% of quotes are done immediately - within about one/two hours of sending an email. If you want an express quote, we encourage you to call us before sending an email. Is it possible to negotiate a price?
Each quote includes the lowest possible price for a production with a specific voiceover. If you have a smaller budget, don't be afraid to ask. Just let us know and specify the maximum budget for the production. You may be able to find a voiceover in the price range you specify. What is audio mastering?
In a nutshell, mastering is a procedure that will make a radio commercial or multimedia presentation sound better. It's not just adding a few effects or “turning up the production volume.” It's correcting EQ, compression, monoing certain frequencies, adjusting levels and advanced audio editing and correction. It takes many years of experience and thousands of productions to have what it takes to do professional mastering of a commercial production. By choosing to do master your productions at RPM, you can be sure that your recording on any air will sound loud and professional. When will I receive an invoice and what is the payment date?
The first productions are carried out on a prepayment basis, based on a proforma invoice. It can be paid by traditional bank transfer or quick payments (including BLIK). If we get to know each other a little bit better and have several completed productions, there is an option to pay by wire transfer after the production is made. How soon will I get the finished audio file?
As soon as possible. We have many editing stations and every order is processed immediately. After receiving payment, we contact the voice talent and arrange a possible recording date. After recording and mastering, we send the audio immediately to the client. In most cases, the waiting time is less than 1 day. In many cases we manage to deliver on the same day of the order. Is there an option to take part in the recording session?
We record small and short productions on our own. For larger productions, it is possible to take part in the recording session via Skype or by coming to our Warsaw studio in person. Is there an additional charge for revisions / corrections?
Corrections regarding tone and style in radio advertisements are free of charge. If the text is changed however, we set a new fee. Before the recording session, it's a good idea to determine how we want our script to be read (indicating the demo of the voice talent which we like best). It is also important to remember that the recording time (e.g., 30 seconds) affects the speed of reading and interpretation. My radio spot is supposed to be 30 seconds long. How do I know how much text it is?
This is actually very simple - just take a stopwatch and read your script aloud. Reading "in your thoughts" is much faster, so it's a good idea to try and be a voice talent for a few minutes and read out the commercial. Our sound engineers can also advise and measure the length of the recording before production (even before it starts).Do you also record radio or TV commercials in foreign languages and how much does that cost?
Yes, of course, we also record in other languages. All RPM voice talents and natives (the language they record in is their mother tongue). Mostly the recordings take place in their countries, i.e. we record German speakers in Germany. Unfortunately, international voice talents are sometimes more expensive than Polish ones (it depends on the average prices of voiceovers in a given market). In some countries there are associations of voiceovers that set minimum fees.Everyone tells me that I have a cool voice. Can I become a voice actor in your company?
Unfortunately, no. We cooperate only experienced professionals so that we can guarantee productions of the highest quality.Where do you get the music for your productions?

Every recording comes with a production certificate, which guarantees the usage rights. Can you add the audio to my video so that it can be uploaded to Youtube, for example?
Yes, no problem. Can you prepare broadcast files for radio or television and upload them to their servers?
